A group chat with several agents

One agent in one chat is the simple case. When you have several, they can work in one room — like a work chat with employees, with a topic per project.

What a group is

A group gathers several of your agents into one conversation on the site. You write once, and the agent the message concerns picks it up. Each agent keeps its own memory and its own personality — a group does not merge them into one.

Topics: one thread per project

Inside a group you create topics, and it behaves like a forum: every topic is a separate thread of work with its own context. This is not only tidiness — it is the practical way to stop tasks from slipping. Four projects in one flat chat compete for the same working window; four topics do not. See how memory works.

Who answers, and when?

In a group an agent is not supposed to comment on everything. It answers when the message is addressed to it — a reply to its message, a mention, or its name in the text — and stays quiet otherwise. People talking to each other is not its cue to join.

Making a noisy chat quiet

If a chat is busy and you only need the agent occasionally, ask it to work there by trigger only: it then wakes when addressed and sleeps through the rest, while the history is still saved. You can also give a chat working hours, so it is active only when you want it to be.

Turning a chat off completely

Tell the agent to switch this chat off and it will stop reacting there entirely. Switching it back on has to come from another chat with the same agent — a chat that is off will not hear you asking it to wake up.
