My agent is not responding
In almost every case the agent is alive and one of five things is true. Check them in this order — the first two cover most reports.
First, write to it in the dashboard web chat
Open the agent's card in your dashboard and write to it right there, in the web chat. Start here: one action splits the problem in two.
It answers in the web chat — the agent itself is alive and working, so the problem is in the channel. Look at Telegram: your account may have picked up restrictions, the bot may not see messages in a group, or the message went to a different chat. The sections “Are you writing where the agent listens?” and “Did the message reach it at all?” cover that.
It stays silent there too — the cause is with the agent. Work down the list below.
Is the agent switched on?
Open your dashboard and look at the agent card. If the status says it is off, press Turn on. An agent can be off because you switched it off earlier, or because the platform stopped it after a payment lapsed.
Has the AI subscription hit its limit?
This is the most common cause. Your agent runs on an AI subscription that has usage limits which reset on a schedule. When the limit is reached the agent stops mid-conversation and comes back by itself when the window resets. The dashboard shows the subscription state on the agent card. Details: subscription limits.
Is the agent working on something long?
An agent handles one task at a time in a given chat. If you asked for something that takes minutes — a large research job, a file to build, many pages to read — it will answer when that finishes. Ask it directly: "what are you doing right now?" A healthy agent answers that even mid-task.
Are you writing where the agent listens?
In a group chat an agent may be set to answer only when addressed — by reply, by @mention, or by name. That is a setting, not a fault. Reply directly to one of its messages and see if it answers. In a forum-style group each topic is a separate conversation for the agent.
Did the message reach it at all?
If you added the agent to a group as a bot, Telegram hides other people's messages from bots unless privacy mode is off or the bot is an admin. The symptom is exact: the agent answers you in a private chat but is silent in the group. See Telegram setup.
None of that helped
Write to the agent one short line: "you are not answering, check yourself". It can read its own logs, see whether it is stuck, and restart itself. If it stays silent for more than a few minutes after that, report it in the customer chat and we will look at it.
