Best AI employees in 2026: what each one actually is

A good AI employee is a digital colleague, not a tool: it remembers the right person, decision or rule at the right moment, learns from every correction, is curious about what it does not know yet, reflects on its own work and comes back with the next step before anyone asks. Products people compare when they look for an AI employee are very different things, from one employee for the whole company to a set of helpers or a platform you build on yourself. Below are ten of them, ours included, compared by what their own pages say, checked on 16 October 2026.

How to compare AI employees

  • One employee or a set of helpers. Some products give you one AI that works across the company, others sell separate helpers for separate areas of work.
  • Memory and learning. Does it keep what it learned between tasks, and does a correction change how it works next time?
  • Where it can act. Inside one app, inside Slack or Teams, or wherever a person would do the work: the browser, email, documents and company systems.
  • Who sets it up. Self-serve, templates, or the vendor's team.
  • Price against what it replaces. A software seat and a hire are different comparisons.

Which one fits which need

  • The lowest monthly price: Marblism and Sintra, on yearly plans. Lindy has a no-cost plan to try.
  • An AI inside Slack or Teams: Viktor and Junior are built around them.
  • Outbound sales only: Artisan.
  • A large company with a deployment team: Relevance AI and Ema.
  • Planning tasks and projects for a team: Motion.
  • A digital employee that does the work itself, wherever a person would: EmAGI. It works in its own isolated environment, keeps a persistent memory that belongs to you, runs many conversations and tasks at once while staying one person with one memory, and works alongside a team, runs a whole area of work, or becomes the whole team.

What EmAGI costs

Plans are $350, $500 and $1,000 a month per account, with one agent included and each additional agent at $15 a month, up to five agents per account before a capacity upgrade. The agent connects to your own AI subscription when you create it: we recommend Claude Max; ChatGPT Pro or a DeepSeek key work too, though the agent thinks less sharply on them. It costs more than the other products here because it is priced against a hire: a good specialist in Europe costs $3,000 to $5,000 a month before taxes. Current prices are always on the pricing page.

Questions people ask

What is an AI employee?

An AI employee is an AI that works as a member of a company rather than as a tool someone drives: it takes a task, does the work itself and comes back with the result. The products sold under this name differ a lot: some are one employee for the whole company, some are a set of helpers for separate areas of work, some are a platform for building your own.

What is the difference between an AI employee and an AI agent?

Agent is the technical word for an AI that can act, not only answer. AI employee is the role: an agent that works as a member of a company, keeps memory of its work and colleagues, and owns tasks from start to finish. Every AI employee is an agent; most agents are not employees.

Which AI employee is the cheapest?

By published prices on 16 October 2026, Marblism starts at $24 a month billed yearly and Sintra at $15.60 a month on a yearly plan. Lindy has a no-cost plan. Artisan, Relevance AI and Ema do not publish prices. EmAGI is the most expensive on this list at $350 a month, because it is priced against a hire, not against a software seat.

Which AI employees remember and learn?

Lindy, Sintra and Viktor claim memory on their own pages; Marblism and Motion claim that they learn from results. EmAGI keeps a persistent memory that belongs to the customer, learns from every correction and reviews its own work every night.

How should I choose an AI employee?

Decide what you want to hand over: a single channel or loop, a seat inside Slack, or a whole area of work. Then compare four things: whether it does the work itself or only suggests, what it remembers between tasks, where it can act, and what it costs against the person who would otherwise do that work.
